Dear Friends of the Rotary Auction:

With your help, the Rotary Club of Lincolnton, Rotary Club of Denver-Lake Norman and the Rotary Club of Lincolnton-Sunrise will continue the work begun 16 years ago to meet the needs of Lincoln County’s students to continue their education.  Your donation to our Auction for EDUCATION will help not only deserving students, but also hard-pressed parents who want to see their children attend colleges and trade schools, but may be struggling financially.  Lincoln County Rotarians dream of the day when any resident from our County can continue their education with the assistance of a low interest student loan with the support and generosity from businesses and individuals like you as money is raised each year through cash contributions to the Century Club and annual televised Auction for EDUCATION.

Today the Auction for EDUCATION is a community tradition held each April in the James W. Warren Citizens Center.  It is televised on Charter channel 10 and streamed live on the internet.  Donated items, goods or services such as vehicles, trips, homes, consumer products, accommodations, merchandise, gift certificates professional services, tickets, and countless other items that can be sold during our televised auction, silent auction, and cafe help us to further our goal....to encourage all high school graduates who now reside in Lincoln County, NC to continue their education by attending a post-high school educational institution or trade school with the assistance of low interest Rotary student loans.

A Rotarian will be calling you for the donation of an auction item or for you to participate financially in our Auction for EDUCATION, April 23, 24, & 25, 2009.  Any cash contribution or donated item valued at $100 or more will be advertised on the television and in the newspaper, (donations must be received by April 10, 2009 for inclusion).  You can create a lasting legacy with your contribution to the Lincoln County Rotary Student Loan Fund, Inc.  When you are asked to donate to our annual auction, please give generously.

If you are able to help us in any of these ways or have further questions please contact Gaye Howard, CEO/Administrator for the Lincoln County Rotary Student Loan Fund at 704-732-0867, or write at P.O. Box 682, Lincolnton, NC 28093 or e-mail at rotaryloanfund@charter.net.

With kindest regards,

C. Dean Lutz

TESTIMONIAL

"As parents of Rebecca, Nathan and Zachary, we are so thankful for the provision and help the rotary loan has been to us in sending our children to college.  We feel blessed to be in a county that provides this low interest loan.  Had it not been for the Lincoln Rotary loan program, we would have had to take federal loans at much higher interest rates."
